Switching to mac

Last week I switched to mac. I've been a Windows user since the dawn of my enthusiasm in computer, not mentioning the old crippled Sakhr "Personal Computer" that we had at home since 1990. I contemplated the decision a lot before going into this, mainly because my work environment is all windows and part of my job has to do with some windows-specific apps.

Here are the main reasons behind my little "adventure":
- The call of trying something new (to me at least). Well, I'm a geek after all.
- I've been experimenting with some open source languages lately, mostly Rails (and thus Ruby), Python, Diango... and needed a real 'nix based environment to experience how things are actually meant to run, and not to have any troubles on deployment.
- I didn't go for Linux because I need some robust horse power and display sweetness to run Flash, Photoshop Dreamweaver...

I'll post an update in some time to share with you my newbie experience with OS X.
